A taste of Hamptons style in Queensland.

At the heart of Camber House, lies a profound respect for architectural artistry, where every curve and contour tells a story. The name ‘Camber’ draws inspiration from the concept of gentle convexity, mirroring the thoughtful details and nuanced design elements that define the property. Distinct in character, unforgettable in appeal, and inspired by the traditional character homes of the surrounding streets, the real surprises lie within its walls.

More than a house. A homage to the grace and fluidity of design.

A spacious retreat, perfect for a family.

Beyond the front door, each line and space within the home flows effortlessly. This design philosophy extends beyond mere aesthetics, echoing the natural rhythm of life. This concept is beautifully woven into the living experience of Camber House, promising a life of balance and ease.

Architectural poetry in motion.

With a focus on harmony, we harnessed the best of modernity to infuse the classic Queenslander with something new. Inside the home, thoughtfully curated materials artfully blend the classic exterior and inviting interior. The outside facade stands as an ode to tradition, while inside the lightweight timbers, high ceilings, and skylights impart an airy, welcoming ambiance.

We parted ways with conventional cool tones in favour of warm, earthy, and natural colours and used a vertical stack pattern to enhance the sense of space beneath the lofty ceilings.

To ground the home, solid stone elements and a gatehouse adorned with a hanging garden, provide a welcoming entrance.

Dry-laid stone and masonry block were used to create a sense of natural stability. The absence of grout is a testament to the skilled craftsmanship of the stone mason, evoking the feeling of stones that have fallen naturally.

Our custom-designed wall panelling adorns the main spaces, for a modern twist, with hand-cut arch routing that echoes through the property.

Every corner of the home breathes uniqueness, achieved through the exclusive use of artisanal, meticulously hand-cut, and custom elements.

The staircase stands as a testament to this philosophy, lovingly hand-crafted from top to bottom. It emerges not merely as a functional feature, but as a unique art piece you won’t find anywhere else.

Herringbone floors add a modern flair to the carefully selected classic elements and materials, ensuring the home’s allure will only deepen with age. Our wish for its new residents is to experience a connection to the past. As though they’re the rightful heirs of century-old craftsmanship, without sacrificing the luxuries of the modern age.
